GRP engineering chambers
The Super-Strong for Special Tasks

Maximum performance
Applications for GRP engineering chambers
Is there a lot of equipment to be housed? Is a load-distribution plate required due to extreme structural conditions? Is particularly high mechanical strength or resistance to chemicals or temperature fluctuations required? When an engineering chamber has to meet high demands, glass-fibre-reinforced polymer (GRP) is the first choice for technically demanding installation situations. FRP engineering chambers are quicker to install than concrete chambers and are ultimately just as robust: even without the retrofitting of load-distribution plates, they are suitable for vehicle traffic in accordance with LM 1 as per DIN–FB 101.
GRP as a material
Glass-fibre-reinforced polymer (GRP) is a composite material. A resin matrix provides shape and chemical resistance. The embedded glass fibres provide high strength with minimal weight.
Components
Glass-fibre-reinforced polymer consists of a matrix of epoxy, vinyl ester or polyester resin, reinforced with glass fibres (e.g. E-glass or ECR glass).
Features
GRP is resistant to compression and tension, as well as to chemicals and corrosion. This lightweight, rust-free and non-conductive material is also characterised by its high durability.
Typical applications
Common areas of application include pipework and manhole construction, as well as industry. Thanks to its properties, GRP is also used in vehicle and aircraft manufacturing.
Tailored to your needs
All our GRP engineering chambers are one-off items, individually tailored to the specific installation situation. Here is our specific approach:
Our experts will be happy to advise you in detail to help you determine the requirements your GRP engineering chamber must meet. If required, our field sales team can also carry out a site survey or take measurements on site to ensure the best possible adaptation to local conditions.
Once all the requirements have been clarified, our design engineers will draw up your bespoke solution. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring that the purchase and running costs remain within a reasonable frame and that all standards and regulations are met. You will then receive your personalised quotation. Once you have approved the quote, we will produce detailed design drawings in AutoCAD or SolidWorks in your preferred format (.dwg, .step, etc.) for you.
Once we have received your order, you will be sent the approval drawings and can let us know of any changes you wish to make. As soon as you are completely satisfied, you can approve the drawings for production. We will then draw up the final production drawings, parts lists and work plans. We will subsequently inform you of your delivery date and commence production of your GRP engineering chamber.
To ensure the best possible result, our qualified production staff are in constant contact with the design engineers. Once your GRP engineering chamber has been completed, it undergoes extensive and rigorous quality controls.
If required, we can install your GRP engineering chamber directly on site. To do this, our field sales team will first visit the site. The prefabricated and tested components are then delivered and installed. Following a final quality check, your GRP engineering chamber is ready for commissioning.
Once your GRP engineering chamber has been fully installed, our technicians will commission it. In addition, the relevant personnel will be given a briefing. The handover will then take place in accordance with the regulations, and you will receive the relevant documents for your records.
Our specially trained Factory Customer Service team is available to you throughout the entire operational life of your GRP engineering chamber to carry out regular maintenance and servicing work. This is how we ensure the maximum service life. Should an incident occur, you will receive prompt assistance thanks to our 24-hour emergency service.
