CleverVent ventilation valve
The next generation of ventilation pipes

Ideal for assembly
Why take the long way round when the short route leads to the same destination? With the CleverVent ventilation valve, you save on valuable materials – from pipes and additional fire protection equipment right through to installation accessories. What’s more, the product is made from 66 per cent recycled material. The reduced material and installation costs are also evident during fitting: CleverVent enables quick and straightforward installation.

Top marks for quality of life
Previously, it was necessary for the ventilation pipe to run through every floor up to the roof. Thanks to the CleverVent ventilation valve, all these ceiling penetrations are no longer needed, meaning that no more unsightly pipes have to be laid throughout the entire building. This means that no more valuable space is wasted, whilst at the same time the living spaces gain in aesthetic appeal and quality of life. This solution is not only invisible within the building, but also inaudible: thanks to optimal sound insulation, there is no longer any disturbance from noise.
Useful information about CleverLoop and CleverVent
EN 12056-4 does not permit the pressure pipe to be connected to a downpipe. Both the CleverLoop and the CleverVent have a horizontal outlet. This therefore always discharges into a collecting pipe. If the collecting pipe is followed by a drop section, the connection is permitted and regulated by DIN 1986-100.

If only one item is connected, the restrictions for a single connection apply. Where additional items are connected, the rules for collective connections in accordance with DIN 1986-100 apply. The minimum gradient for unvented single-connection pipes is therefore 1 cm per 1 m. An unvented single-connection pipe must not be longer than 4 m. There must be no more than three 90° bends (excluding connection elbows) within a single flow path. The difference in height between a connection to a drainage fixture and the pipe base in the branch pipe leading to the downpipe must not exceed 1 m. If any of these conditions cannot be met, the individual connection pipe must be vented. It follows that, for most kitchens, venting of the kitchen connections is necessary. This is also required by DIN 4040-100 in the section on ventilation.
In this case, the kitchen is connected via the main vent shown in the diagram – from the lifting station’s collection tank to the CleverVent. If the inlet pipe of the grease separator is longer than 10 m, the additional ventilation pipe can be connected to the CleverVent and routed into the sewer, provided that the kitchen and lifting stations are vented above the roof.
The CleverLoop system isolator and the CleverVent ventilation valve ensure that the requirements for backflow protection and ventilation specified in EN 12056, DIN 1986-100 or ÖNORM B 2501 are reliably met. Extensive type testing carried out by TÜV Rheinland has demonstrated the products’ practical suitability and safety. The structural approval from the Austrian Institute for Construction Technology (OIB) documents the suitability and applicability of both products. Furthermore, compliance with DIN SPEC 3615 confirms the quality and safety of the products.
Provided that the gravity pipe is correctly sized and the fill level does not exceed 70 per cent, there is no need to maintain a stilling section between the CleverVent and the CleverLoop. Otherwise, a stilling section of at least 1 metre is required.
Yes, that is possible. The spring is made of corrosion-resistant V4A. This means that the CleverLoop can also cope with chlorinated water, saline seawater and aggressive waste water.
The CleverLoop system isolator and the CleverVent ventilation valve are compliant with building regulations. The systems hold a valid OIB approval and also bear the Swiss Qplus Swiss Quality mark. They therefore meet the requirements for their intended area of application. Irrespective of this, the following applies: provided the system is professionally planned, installed in accordance with standards and our manufacturer’s specifications, and regularly maintained, KESSEL naturally provides product liability cover in the event of a demonstrable product failure.
We are happy to assist you with the relevant technical documentation, installation instructions and approval documents to ensure that planning is carried out in a legally compliant and traceable manner. The CleverLoop may be fitted to lifting stations with a power output ranging from at least 1 to 2.5 kW. As the Minilift, with its 1,000 watts, lies exactly at the lower limit of this approved range, reducing the pipe size to DN 50 and installing the CleverLoop are both perfectly feasible.
The CleverLoop system isolator has a ball passage diameter of 48 mm.
When planning lifting stations, the geodetic pumping height is a key factor in determining the power required by the pump. The deeper the building is below ground level, the greater this height difference and the higher the pump’s delivery capacity must be in order to transport the wastewater upwards to the backwater level or to the sewer. When installing the System isolator, the geodetic pumping height to the CleverLoop is always taken into account. Our SmartSelect planning tool helps you select the right product.
CleverVent and CleverLoop have been developed for installation in buildings. However, where it makes economic sense, our Custom Solutions department can arrange for the system to be installed in an underground tank in a frost-free area.
A socket end plug is inserted into the socket and secured with a locking end cap, e.g. from Ostendorf polymer.
The activated carbon filter (art. no. 681258) should be replaced annually – or sooner if odours develop in the room.
